Notes

2022-02-16 - From the contract: "The case to be of neat design of ash or chestnut finely finished. Front pipes speaking and decorated in gold and colors. Organ is guaranteed for 10 years." The organ was to be completed and installed in time for Easter Sunday 1903, with $700 due upon completion. The contract was signed by "Wm Bevan, Rector of All Saints, Niagara Falls South". According to a history of the church, the instrument was originally placed at the west end of the nave, and was moved to a position in the chancel in 1926, at which time an electric blower was installed. The organ was rebuilt by an unknown builder in 1946, with electro-pneumatic action and a new detached console, for the sum of $2000. A dedication service held on July 28 of that year. This instrument may have been the basis for a new instrument completed in 1957 by William F. Legge, Burford, Ontario. The church was de-consecrated in 2014. An Assembly of God Church reportedly now worships in the space. The status of the organ is presently unknown. -Andrew Henderson
