Notes

2022-04-11 - Known from a King work list compiled by King authority Dr. Donald R.M. Patterson and published in *The Tracker* XVI:4:1971. This is a confusing entry in the above-mentioned list. King advertises a 3-manual organ for this church for three consecutive months in 1893, but not later in the year. A 3-manual organ burned with the church Jan. 2, 1893. An 1890s case existed in this church until 1971 when it was destroyed. This suggests two scenarios: 1) King builds a 3-manual of unknown age for this church which burns in Jan. 1893, possibly even a new instrument, or 2) King builds an instrument for this church in 1893 to replace the one destroyed. Patterson suggests the case that lasted until 1971 resembled known case work of Binghamton builder Frank Beman, which therefore suggests no. 1 to be the likely scenario. -Scot Huntington
