2022-04-26 - Installed with refurbishment of the church interior in 1893. A brief mention in an article in The News-Journal (Lancaster, PA) 22 Sep 1893 gives a few details on work done to the Roosevelt organ. Mudler widened the Tannenberg case, adding two flats: "The organ has been extended three and a half feet on either side, making seven in all. The interior of the organ has been rearranged and a few pipes added. It was rebuilt and retuned by Bernard Mudler, of Philadelphia. It is painted in the same general colors of the altar with gold trimmings, in fact the same general tone has been preserved with woodwork." "In 1893, the case was significantly enlarged by the addition of an extra tower and flat to each side by Bernard Mudler of Philadelphia. The work is remarkable in that it matches the style of Tannenberg's old case." -- Philip T.D. Cooper, Tannenberg website A full specification of this version of the organ has not been found as of today. -Paul R. Marchesano
