2022-05-06 - This entry represents the first installation of a new organ. Identified from the *Encyclopedia of the American Theatre Organ, Vol. I* by David L. Junchen. Curiously, the fore-mentioned book also has a listing for the Orpheum Theatre for Kilgen - and it is indeed the Kilgen organ which is still (2022) installed though not operational. Perhaps the Kimball contract was cancelled; or perhaps it was a small Foyer or Mezzanine installation. -Jim Stettner
2023-03-31 - David Junchen's listing of a Kimball organ in the Orpheum Theatre, Wichita, in volume 1 of his *Encyclopedia of the Aamerican Theatre Organ* was an error that he corrected in "Opus List Corrections & Additions to Volume I" in volume 2: Volume 1, page 254: Wichita [dots]Orpheum Th. [dots]1922 13529 [13529 is the Spencer Orgoblo number.] Volume 2, page 931: [asterisk]Wichita, KS [dots]Delete entry. [The asterisk indicates an entry that corrects an error of fact.
