2022-06-07 - This entry represents the installation of an existing, relocated organ. According to the 'Bethany Covenant Church of New Britain, Connecticut, 75th Year: 1884-1959' anniversary booklet, *"When the American Methodist Congregation decided to build a new church, its property at the corner of Main and Walnut Streets was put on the market for $16,000. Our offer of $13,000 was accepted. On May 26, 1889, with appropriate dedication services, the congregation took possession of its first church.* < snip >* In the 1890's, record show that the first organ was puchased from a church in Massachusetts at a price of $1,000,. . ."* -Jim Stettner
