Notes

2022-07-12 - 2-man 1896 Methuen Organ Co instrument renovated by WW Laws in 1926 with a three manual console, enlarged further by Andover in 1950s from "organs of greater Lawrence" by Robert J Reich Methuen Organ Co., 1896, 2m., front right. *S 4th organ: W. W. Laws, 1926, electrification with 3m console of previous organ. *SP 5th organ: Andover Organ Co., 1951, rebuilding and enlargement of previous organ; Choir division added in chamber on left side of chancel with slider chest from Searles organ #6 (Methuen) and pipes from Dennison. Recent extensive damage from roof leak, partial repair. -Andrew Scanlon

2024-05-16 - Plaque behind console says organ was rebuilt 1955. Played the organ on May 16, 2024. At present, the church is largely a Hispanic parish and they almost never use the organ. The entire Choir division is silent. None of the Great reeds or Pedal reeds work. The slider action is very slow, and it's unclear how many of the dead notes are key contact issues vs. chest issues. Most of the Great, Swell and Pedal are playing with exception of Gr and Ped reeds and Sw. Mixture. -Andrew Scanlon
