Notes

2004-10-30 - Bldg. was Church of the Epiphany Episcopal (built for this church). (listed for sale as 2-17 by OCH in 1977) -Database Manager

2016-10-19 - Updated through online information from scot huntington. <br>When the ca. 1915 Kinetic blower became unreliable in the early 1980s, the organ was simply closed up and left intact in favor of a temporary electronic imitation. Doing so left the organ in pristine and intact condition. The double-rise reservoir with inverted fold and double feeders is still covered with original leather. The manual chests have N-chest layout with Swell behind the Great and only slightly elevated above the same plane. The two-stop pedal chest is behind the Swell. The Swell enclosure has horizontal shades balanced with a counterweight. The present facade decoration- colored accent bands on a gold ground is not the original design. Case front is of oak, there is no woodwork above the impost, and the ivory stop label engraving is Olde English; oblique knobs of ebony (stops) or holly (accessories) on round shanks; overhanging keyboard fronts. As of the Fall of 2016, congregational interest in the organ is renewed. -Database Manager

2021-12-26 - Christmas Day evening, 2021, an all-hands fire destroyed the historic church, with 75% of the Rochester fire force responding along with departments and mutual aid assistance from 3 surrounding towns. The Tiffany window was destroyed. No reports from the church interior yet, but the intact and largely unaltered organ is presumed to have been totally destroyed. Numerous social media and news outlet videos have documented the destruction in real time. -Scot Huntington
