ACTION: Slider chests w/pneum. pull-downs; elec. stop VOICES: 21 STOPS: 22 RANKS: 24 PIPES: 1,378 NOTES This organ was originally built for All Saint's Episcopal Cathedral in Spokane. When that congregation merged with two other parishes to form the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, the organ was moved along to the newly built Cathedral. It was replaced there in 1935 by the 4-manual W.W. Kimball Co. instrument from the Clemmer Theatre, and it was then moved to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church where it has been ever since. The organ was electrified, but whether this was done when it was moved to the new Cathedral, or when it was relocated to Holy Trinity Episcopal is unknown. The 1980 restorative repairs undertaken by Balcom and Vaughan retained the original 3-manual Pilcher console, but the unused third manual was eliminated. This necessitated building a new top and kick panel for the console. A new concave and radiating AGO 30-note pedalboard replaced the original. New expression and crescendo shoes were installed. All-new magnet boards were installed on the pull-down actions and the Barker Lever machine. Additional bracing was added. Pipes were cleaned and repaired. And all-new compliant wiring was installed. The original Great 8' Trumpet was missing, so a new IV Mixture [actually III-IV] was installed in its place.
