2022-10-08 - The theater had seating for 1,000; the organ was removed in 1943; the building came perilously close to being demolished on two occasions, but was saved; it is now a successful performance venue; the Seattle City Council passed an ordinance in 2014 designating the Neptune Building as a city landmark, levying certain protections on the property. -Jeff Scofield
