2022-10-30 - This entry represents the installation of a used organ in a new location and home. Identified through online information from Fr. Robert Scheiblhofer: The current organ in St. Barnabas Catholic Church is a hybrid instrument consisting of the Phelps-era Casavant controlled by a three manual Rodgers console. The Swell is digital (from the Rodgers), the Great, Pedal and Choir/Positiv are Casavant. The parish obtained the Casavant Organ from Benson United Presbyterian Church (the Benson congregation was selling their building and the new owners had no use for the organ). -Jim Stettner
2022-10-31 - Updated through online information from Fr. Robert Scheiblhofer, *"St. Barnabas became a part of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter (the part of the Catholic Church set up for parishes that joined the Church and wanted to continue to use the Anglican Rite) in 2013."* *The dismantling/moving/re-installing of the Casavant was done in the summer of 2016 by myself and a crew of parishioners. The "marrying" of the Rodgers with the Casavant was done by Gerry Oehring of Oehring and Associates in Lincoln, NE in 2017.* -Jim Stettner
