Notes

2022-12-23 - Founded in 1876, the church built its second building and dedicated it in 1896. Known from a report of another Andrew Carnegie gift of the organ to the "Presbyterian Church in Derry" -- interestingly, this organ was fully paid for by Carnegie. The cost was $25,000. The room seats approx. 1000. The current congregation Facebook page features a photo of the facade at the front of the church, where the organ is apparently installed in an alcove, likely the original facade and arrangement of the organ. According to a post from church member Lois Lydick Lazarchik, 14 April 2019, "Andrew Carnegie was friends with the Ramsey family [presumably a family of the congregation]. They all were from Scotland." -Paul R. Marchesano
