2023-03-10 - From the *Ottawa Daily Citizen* (May 8, 1888): "The magnificent new organ, built by Messrs. Warren & Son, for the Dominion Methodist Church of this city, is now in its place in that edifice. The instrument was built on specifications, specially prepared for this church Mr. Frederic Archer, the great English organist and author, now of Boston, who will give the opening recital this (Tuesday) evening. It is comprising great, swell, choir and pedal organs, three manuals and over two thousand speaking pipes. It is the only instrument in Canada, with one exception, furnished with all the recent improvements and inventions including pneumatic couplers. The great sixteen feet pipes are of the finest metal, specially imported without joint, so as to secure the most perfect tone. The front pipes are coloured in olive green, and beautifully illuminated with crimson flock and gold." -Andrew Henderson
