Notes

2023-03-03 - This entry represents the installation of a used organ by its original builder. Identified via email by parish Music Dir. Michael Plagerman. The Bigelow was originally built for the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, Illinois. The School is relocating and the organ had to be sold and removed before the lease was up. Blessed Sacrament acquired the organ at a handsome price, and Bigelow fit its relocation and reinstallation into his schedule to accomodate imminent and inflexible timelines. The Bigelow displaced a used Francis Tallman organ - itself a rebuild of an Erben - which Blessed Sacrament had gotten from St. Dominics in San Francisco in 2005. Sadly, the Erben/Tallman was not saved excepting some pipework and perhaps select parts. -Jim Stettner

2024-09-23 - Updated through online information from Geoffrey Liu (September 22, 2024): The dedication was 21 September 2024 at 7:30 PM. -Jim Stettner
