Notes

2023-03-29 - This entry represents the original installation of a new organ. Later rebuilt and enlarged (?) by the Lima Pipe Organ Co. -Jim Stettner

2023-05-04 - Notes regarding the organ by Tom Densel, courtesy of Thomas Fielding: *"St. John's organ was built in the early 1930s by the Verlinden Organ Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It incorporated elements of the 1918 M. P. Moller organ originally installed in the Elks Lodge in Lima. The casework, Choir windchest and Chimes are from the Moller. Much of the Swell pipe work appears to have come from an unidentified tracker instrument. It appears that much of the pipe work was used when the organ was built. * *The organ was re-leathered and the new console installed in 1977. I do not believe any tonal changes were made at that time."* -Jim Stettner
