2023-03-30 - This entry represents the combining of the church's existing 2-manual, 1961 Dewey Layton organ with a relocated 3-manual, ca. 1962 Dewey Layton organ from First Lutheran in Colorado Springs. Identified from another OHS Database entry. -Jim Stettner
2023-03-31 - The organ has some very fine stops, especially the reeds, and sounds quite exciting in the room. However, it is hampered by the used Allen console, which is VERY worn out, and has some idiosyncracies that make it challenging for the organist. Because of limited space on the coupler rail there aren't as many inter-manual couplers on the organ as there really SHOULD be (and some of the provided ones aren't useful), there are (stupidly) no intra-manual couplers, and the swell shoes are reversed from AGO standard placement - the Swell is on the left and the Choir is on the right! Unusually, and VERY usefully, the organ has three reversible pistons which can be set to move any stop on the organ, and the divisionals affect the couplers. -Daniel Wicks
