2023-04-01 - From the *Hamilton Spectator and Journal of Commerce* (March 3, 1847): "Correspondence ... I spent the Sabbath at a private house, and attended the Episcopal Church near Chippewa, where I heard an excellent and able discourse, though not very ably delivered. This little church has a neat appearance from the outside; it is built of brick with stone quoins and dressings, and is decorated with a spire. The inside is not entirely finished. I will here remark, it is to be regretted that when a public building is to be erected, money is so often laid out unsatisfactorily, for the want of correct architectural design, or the aid of an architect -- I had the pleasure of hearing the new organ for the first it had been played in this church. It was built at Lockport--presents a handsome appearance, and has a clear, brilliant, and powerful tone. I was told it cost £150." -Andrew Henderson
