Notes

2023-04-19 - The organ at this church was built at the same time as the edifice itself-in 1854-and was the individual gift of Mrs. Geo. M. Tibbits. It was constructed by Simmons & Wilcox, of Boston, and has thirty-five stops and three banks. Mr. J. L. Bacon is organist; the choir, we believe, consists of Misses Bailey and Benton, Messrs. Hopkins and Crandell. --"Church Music," *Troy Daily Times*, 13:219 (Mar. 11, 1865), 3. [reprinted in the *2006 OHS Organ Atlas*] -Paul R. Marchesano
