Notes

2023-04-27 - This entry represents the rebuilding of an existing organ by its original builder. This work included tonal additions/changes and a solid state upgrade to the existing 1974 console. From an Austin YouTube video demonstrating the organ: Notably, the addition of a large scaled 8' Diapason, and Trompette en Chamade to the Antiphonal Organ. Additionally, all of the manual and pedal reed stops were returned to our shop for renovation and revoicing. The original console was rebuilt with a new solid-state multiplex operating system featuring a multi-level combination action, piston sequencer, MIDI, and a record and playback system, etc. Tonal design of the original instrument was by Richard J. Piper. Mechanical design and layout originally by Don Hand. Tonal finishing by Frederick G. Heffner. -Jim Stettner
