2023-05-01 - This entry represents the installation of a new organ. Identified from research by William M. Worden of Detroit, Michigan. When First Conngregational moved to a new edifice in 1891, the old church and all its contents were sold. The organ was acquired by St. Casimir R.C. Church of Detroit and reinstalled there. -Jim Stettner
2023-05-01 - The 90th Anniversary (1934) history booklet states, *"The organ and choir were in a gallery at the back of the church"* (page 23). Next, *"Later, in 1863, the building needed repairs and these with the debt demanded $16,000, which was finally raised, and for the first time in many years the church was out of debt. < snip > Among the changes made in the building was the removal of the / organ from the back of the church. A gallery was constructed back of the pulpit in which the organ and choir faced the congregation."* (pp. 24 & 35). -Jim Stettner
