2023-05-22 - From *The Gazette* (Montreal, October 28, 1893): "... a fine new organ, built by Messrs. E. Lye & Sons, of Toronto, has been put in place. The organ has two manuals and pedals. The stops on the great organ are ... usual combinations, couplers and tremolo. The organ is blown by a water motor, made by W. Perry & Sons, of Brome, Que. A special feature is that, in addition to the usual swell box, the whole organ is enclosed in a chamber with swell shutters, giving the effect of a double swell. The organ is constructed to receive, at a future time, a number of additional stops in both swell and great organs. A handsome screen has also been erected on the side of the organ facing the nave." -Andrew Henderson
