Notes

2023-06-09 - From *The Expositor* (November 4, 1946): "Members of the congregation of St. James Anglican Church attended the Sunday evening service in large numbers, for the dedication of the new pipe organ. The dedication ceremony was performed by Rev. B. A. Silcox, a former Rector of the Church, and the service was in charge of Rev. Alfred A. Maloney, assisted by W. H. Bolt, lay reader. T. Davison, organist and choirmaster, was at the console. Specifications for the new organ were drawn up under the supervision of the late A. G. Merriman, for years organist and choirmaster of Grace Anglican Church and Principal of the Brantford Conservatory of Music. It was installed by the Franklin Legg [sic] Organ Company, Toronto, and the work was done by Master Mechanics J. Parker and R. Ruddolls. The new organ is a two-manuel [sic], 12-stop organ with tremulo [sic] and is comprised of three separate organs in all. The great organ and pedal organ are located in the south transcept [sic] and the swell organ in the north transcept [sic]." -Andrew Henderson
