2023-06-13 - from "Agis & Intelligencer" Bel Air, MD. 10/14/1904 NEW ORGAN FOR EMMANUEL CHURCH The new pipe organ built by Henry Niemann of Baltimore, for Emmanuel Church, Bel Air was used for the first time in public on Sunday morning last, and on the same occasion the choir made its first appearance in vestments. The organ has 363 pipes, of which 220 are of metal and 143 of wood, nine speaking stop, octave coupler, pedal to manual coupler, and tremulant. It is of good power and of unusual sweetness of tone. The cost was $1,000. The power is from a water motor. Note. Henry Niemann died in 1899. His son, Frank, continued the business under his father's name. In 1907, he closes the business and moves to Philadelphia, as an agent for the Kimball Organ Co. -Steven Bartley
