Notes

2023-07-18 - An early Edward Lye organ, Op. 34, was built for “Christ’s Episcopal Church, Deer Park” on Yonge Street in about 1880. This instrument would have been installed in the wood frame church. Then Lye rebuilt the organ as the firm’s Op. 143 about the same time as the organ for St. Clement’s, some time before 1897. -- *2023 OHS Handbook* [ed. note: This would have been the church's second building, a brick building, built 1909. The organ was apparently moved into the new building. The third building was built 1922-1923.] Replaced in 1918 by Casavant Opus 737. -Paul R. Marchesano

2023-07-18 - Construction of a second church, this one of brick, began in 1909 where the original frame church had been located. The old building was repositioned for use as a hall and parish house. Opening services for the new church were held on Thursday, June 2, 1910. -- church website, history page -Paul R. Marchesano
