2023-08-21 - This entry represents tonal changes/additions to an existing organ. Identified through online information from Preston Miller. -Jim Stettner
2023-08-21 - Transplanted note from a related Database entry. **Preston Miller on May 21, 2023:** Organ still stands, and is used sparingly (only once or twice a month, if that). Console has been heavily modified, but chambers and tones appear to be mostly similar to the original specification. The organ sits in the gallery behind two cinderblock grilles, and speaks out into the massive room. Owing to its disuse, there are quite a few non-working parts of this instrument, but it still has a good sound that could be spectacular. It is currently not regularly used for masses, and when I played it on 5/21/2023 it was evident that it had not been used in a while. We can only hope that the organ will one day be restored and used regularly again. -Jim Stettner
2023-08-21 - Updated through online information: **Preston Miller on August 20, 2023**: After playing the organ again today, it was evident that it has not been used regularly for quite some time. The manual actions still work well, however, the pedal division is now showing signs of fatigue. Stopkeys and console have been heavily modified, and it has been changed since its original installation, as most of the stops seem to be independent, and more have been added. Instrument is voiced very, very boldly for a massive sanctuary. The great and choir are in the south chamber, and the swell in the north chamber. Console appears to be movable, currently mounted slightly south of center in the rear gallery/balcony. When I have a longer chance to view the chambers and get to know the instrument better, I will provide a rank count, pipe count, and rank info, as well as updating the whole entry. Current rank and pipe count is most likely incorrect. -Jim Stettner
