2023-08-26 - Rebuilt by Hillgreen, Lane in 1915. Edward Stearns was a member of a family of prominent industrialists; his relative George Stearns was a founding partner of Stearns and Foster, a company that owned a textile mill in the nearby village of Lockland and operated a mattress-manufacturing plant, and Edward was later the company's head. Edward lived in the house from its construction until his death in 1914, after which a later company chief, Evan Foster Stearns, moved in with his family; his son Evan Jr., who also led the firm, was born in the house and lived there until 1984. -Jeff Scofield

2024-09-25 - Sold at a cost of $3800, $3000 payable upon completion and $800 six months thereafter. Contract date August 6, 1909, organ shipped Oct 1909. 3 manual and pedal 61/30. 3 year warranty. A penciled note at bottom right corner of specification reads: "All pipes, casing, and all other materials of organ now in residence to be used in the construction of this organ. Electric blower.
