2012-08-17 - Updated through online information from Michael L Bigelow. -- This instrument was built speculatively as a sister to Bigelow Opus 6, 1982, Hyrum Utah LDS Stake. It was sold and installed in Smithfield Utah several years later.

Similar to Opus 6 in Hyrum, the organ case is pushed back as far as possible against the front wall of the chapel to minimize dividing the choir on either side. When tuning access is required from behind, the entire organ case is rolled out on tracks imbedded in floor.

Also like Opus 6, the wind chest of Opus 7 is prepared for the addition of three future stops: Gemshorn celeste 8', Quinte/Sesquialtera II, and Pedal Fagott 16'. -Database Manager
