2023-12-01 - According to church records and knowledge of the congregation, this organ was the first built in America with metal pipes after WWII. It may contain pipes from a 1920 Hinners organ. Ed. note: This is errant information. WWII ended in Europe May, 1945, and the War in the Pacific ended in Sept, 1945. This organ wasn't contracted until December, 1947, so installation would have been in 1948. Wicks built many organs after the cessation of hostilities and before this organ was installed, -Carson Krueger
