2023-12-02 - From *The Daily Telegraph* (January 27, 1903): "The new pipe organ dedicated at St. John's Church on Sunday, is completed in every detail. There are in the neighborhood of 900 speaking pipes of the very best quality ... the mechanical registrations are of the usual description with all modern improvements, the instrument is built on the tracker action system, with the exception of the pedals which are of the pneumatic system. The voicing of the organ is very superb, and each individual stop is kept in its own proper character and style. The blending of the tone of the entire instrument is superior to any organ of similar size, and its beauty of tone and combination is unexcelled. The instrument was erected by Mr. Herman Stahl, who has been in all parts of the world, erecting instruments for different firms. He recently returned from Dawson City, where he placed a $10,000 instrument." -Andrew Henderson
