2015-09-27 - Updated through online information from Mary MacLeod. -- This information is from the 1994 dedication service of the renovated organ: "The First Church organ is now an amalgam of the best in each of two organs: one, the Woodbury First Church Hook and Hastings organ dating from 1873; the other, a 1915 Kimball, Smallman & Frazee organ from First Parish Church, Yarmouth, Maine. The latter was rebuilt with new chests and solid state controls in 1979 by Leighton Organ Service. Charles McManis installed the redesigned instrument with assistance from Austin Organ Service of Avon, CT. Clark Sellars constructed two organ chambers which occupy the full width of the chancel, are almost seven feet deep, and 14 feet high, beginning eight feet above the chancel." -Database Manager
