Notes

2024-01-20 - From *The Hamilton Spectator* (March 18, 1895): "Geo. T. Tuckett gladdened the hearts of the members of All Saints' Church choir in particular, and the members of the congregation in general, yesterday afternoon, when he informed the choir master, W. F. Robinson, that he and the music committee were at liberty to purchase a new $2,000 pipe organ, to pay for which he would give them a marked check for the full amount. Mr. Tuckett is a warden of the church. His generous act is deeply appreciated. The contract has been let for the placing of the organ, which will come from the factory of R. S. Williams & Co." It is very likely that most of the pipework from this instrument was incorporated into the church's Casavant Frères organ (Opus 1368) installed in 1930. -Andrew Henderson
