2024-03-09 - From The Kingston Daily News (July 8, 1901): "The new pipe organ is a two manual instrument, built by E. Lye & Sons, of Toronto. It has the great, swell and pedal organs with eleven stops and 436 pipes. The case is of polished chestnut, and oak and presents a very handsome appearance, entirely filling the organ chamber. The front pipes, which are speaking pipes, are richly decorated in gold and colours, harmonizing with the general colouring of the church. The tone of the organ is excellent and its volume powerful. The voicing is good, and the mechanical structure is apparently perfect, every note responding to the lightest touch." The instrument was subsequently removed, with the casework and facade pipes intact, and the church possesses a 2005 Rodgers digital organ. -Andrew Henderson
