Notes

2024-03-27 - From The Toronto Star (September 2, 1905): "Consequently the magnificent grand organ is yet in contemplation, but a step has been taken in that direction by the trustees, who have engaged the Karn and Warren firm of Woodstock to remove the present organ from the unsightly position it enjoyed immediately over the chorus seats, and to renovate and enlarge it with pipes in the alcoves of the second gallery. While this will give a working organ for the present vastly superior to the former instrument, it will fit in with a scheme of enlargement which may be possible in the future. In the meantime the new organ will be ready for the concert by Madame Eames and her company in association with Mr. A. S. Vogt and his church choir on Friday, October 13. The new organ will plan an important part in the production of Gounod's beautiful motet "Gallia" by Mr. Vogt's choir, with Madame Eames as soloist." -Andrew Henderson
