Notes

2024-04-06 - From the Toronto Star (April 13, 1935): "The first pipe organ ever played in the west-of-Toronto municipalities this side of Port Credit will be dedicated in Century United Church, West Toronto, to-morrow. In the evening there will be a service of praise conducted by Rev. Dr. A. MacMillan and on Monday evening a special recital and concert, when Dr. Healey Willan will be organ soloist, and Miss Jean McLachlan, contralto. The organ, built in Toronto, has 627 pipes, with two manuals, stop key console and electric action. As organs go for size in Toronto, this is not a large one, but it is doubtful if any great organ was ever dedicated in this city with quite so much joy in the music and in the occasion as this two manual organ in Toronto." -Andrew Henderson
