2024-04-24 - According to cinematreasures.org, the theater opened July 21, 1913; it was renamed the Fox Washington Theatre in 1919; upon the opening of the nearby huge Fox Theatre in central Detroit, the Washington closed in 1928 and was demolished soon thereafter. -Jeff Scofield
