2024-08-03 - All the pipework is behind the grille on the left side of the nave, with the console being below the grille on the right side of the nave. I believe Moller did the two grills for visual symmetry in the nave. The door under the right grill goes to a stairway to the ground floor of the building. This instrument is a rebuild/rework of a Moller instrument. It has had a Peterson relay installed. The main chest is a 4 rank chest with offsets for the bottom of the Flute, Viole, Diapason and (now) Trompete, and I recall speaking with the organist from the 1970's who told me that a Trumpet (Trompette?) was installed (by Moller?). Based on the 4 rank main chest and since remebering being told that the Trumpet/Trompette was added, I suspect that the original pipework comprised of the Diapason, Viole, Flute and possibly a Dulciana. -Jack Umholtz
2024-08-06 - Per dates on the wall/units in the blower room, the blower was replace, static reservoir reworked, and rectifier added by Taylor Miller in 1998. Per date on the Swell shade motor, a Peterson Swell shade motor was added by Taylor Miller in 2012. At some point, the main chest was converted by Taylor Miller to Direct Electric and the Trumpet was added by that company. Nothing dated for that conversion/addition. -Jack Umholtz
This organ is a 4 rank, unified and duplexed instrument. The 8' Open Diapason does have the bass Octave and does not start at tenor C with the bass octave being comprised of the 8' Flute and Viole. I could access the chamber below the main chest, but could not fit between the wall and chest bearers to photograph the pipework. Source: Taken from console.
