2024-08-13 - Identified through online information from Andrew Henderson (August 13, 2024): From the Democrat & Chronicle (Rochester, NY, December 9, 1916): "At the building of the Methodist Church in 1901, space was provided for a pipe organ and now after fifteen years the hopes of the congregation has been realized and the church is provided with a very fine organ that is up-to-date in every particular. Thursday evening, December 14th, the instrument will be formally dedicated. The new organ was made possible by a gift of $1,000 from Andrew Carnegie, the balance of the sum, $1,400, being raised by the church. The instrument is a two-manual tubular pipe organ built by the Barnes & Buhl Organ Company, of Utica. There are 850 pipes with the necessary number of couplers and stops. Of the 35 pipes on the front 17 have voices. The wind is supplied by an electric motor. Mr. H. L. Vibbard, who is to give the recital on the new organ is professor of organ and piano at Syracuse University and organist of the First Methodist Church of Syracuse." -Andrew Henderson
