2024-08-18 - From the Buffalo Evening News (August 5, 1896): “A handsome new pipe organ is being placed in Frieden’s Church at the corner of Vanvoort and Schenck Streets. The instrument was built at the North Tonawanda organ factory, and is the largest church organ in the twin cities. This is the first church organ built by the local factory. Caution was taken to make it prove a success. Hereafter the manufacturing of church organs will be one of the chief branches of the local factory’s business. The instrument contains 12 stops and 514 pipes were used in its construction. It is 12 feet wide, 9 feet high, and 8 feet deep. The cost of the organ was $1500. -Andrew Henderson
