Notes

2024-08-25 - From the above church website: "In the 1970s a fire damaged the building extensively and destroyed the organ. Reuter built a new organ of 18 voices, 21 ranks including a wooden case containing the Pedal Principal pipes. In the early 1980’s a new Great was added on the north wall of the chancel and a Festival Trumpet was added on the south wall, which uses hooded pipes to direct the sound horizontally." -Paul R. Marchesano

2024-08-25 - From HISTORY OF ST JOHN'S CHURCH by Ryan Tour: "The organ was built by the Reuter Organ Company, Laurence, Kansas in 1974. It was rebuilt and expanded by the Ross King Company, Fort Worth, Texas in 1985. Organ pipes are arranged in ranks. A rank is a complete set of pipes of similar timbre tuned to a chromatic scale. Our organ has 30 ranks. The existing pipe cases on the north and side walls, built by Ross King were designed by James R. Wooten, Jr, architect and a member of the parish." -Paul R. Marchesano
