2024-09-19 - This entry represents the installation of a new oran. Identified through online information from Andrew Henderson (September 19, 2024): From the Daily Gleaner (Fredericton, NB, July 4, 1904): "The tone of the full organ is of a satisfactory quality, due to the number of stops of eight feet tone. It is rich, smooth and sonorous. Speaking of particular stops, the Open Diapason, which may be called the foundation of the organ, is especially good. The Gamba de Faggatto [sic] on the Great is a new solo stop sounding in the lower registers very like a French Horn and more stringy in the higher registers. In the swell organ the two reeds, Cornopean and Oboe are beautifully even. The Oboe is voiced very soft and can be used for accompanying solo work. The Aeoline is the softest stop in the organ, barely breathing its tone and giving with the Tremulant an ethereal effect. The couplars [sic], Swell to Great Sub Octave and Swell to Great Super Octave, add greatly to the body of the tone. The Crescendo Pedal is an exceedingly simple contrivance by means of which one stop after another is drawn, finally bringing on the full power of the organ and vice versa. The action is tubular pneumatic and is completely satisfactory, speaking instantaneously and repeating clearly and rapidly. From the organist's standpoint the instrument is easy to play and satisfactory in every respect, while the audiences of yesterday were delighted with the musical product." -Andrew Henderson
