2024-10-14 - From The Hamilton Daily Spectator (February 19, 1884): "The new organ for the church of the Ascension, which is being built by Messrs. Warren at the factory in Toronto, from the specification and under the supervision of Mr. Aldous, is rapidly approaching completion, and will be placed in the church early in March. The wind is to be supplied by a gas engine to be situated in the cellar of the school-house from whence it will be conveyed underground to the reservoir of the organ." The organ burned with the church on January 6, 1887. -Andrew Henderson
