2024-10-17 - Updated through online information from Kent Jager (October 14th, 2024): In 1915 a new Congregational Church was dedicated and a new organ was installed later that year. This building is still standing and now is named St. Paul Congregational UCC. The 1915 organ no longer exists in the current building. It was replaced by a electronic instrument in 1974. To date I have not been able to find any records about the 1915 organ. The facade pipes from this organ are still in place at the front of the sanctuary. -Paul R. Marchesano
2024-10-28 - The church previously had a Johnson & Son organ, Opus 820, 1895. According the the entry for that organ in the book, "Johnson Organs; 1844-1898": 'First Church, which today seems to be named St. Paul's, burned 'two years ago' as of 1915. The new building had no pipe organ at first, from which it may be inferred that the Johnson did not survive the fire. However a donor stepped forward quickly and gave the church a new $3,500 instrument to be called the 'Haskell Memorial Organ,' maker unidentified." -Jim Stettner
