Notes

2024-11-07 - This organ is not listed on the Schlicker opus list under any of the names or places associated with it, but the opus list might be incomplete before 1960. The organ was presented Colby-Sawyer College in 1974 by Robert A. Lehman and was installed at the college by John Wessel. An undocumented source suggests the organ was may have been built in 1958, but there is no organ matching this description on the opus list for 1958, Robert Lehman, or NYC. The organ sat unused at Colby College until it was moved to Kearsarge Presbyterian in 1990 by Joseph Chapline. The organ was listed on the Organ Clearing House in 2024 and inexplicably replaced with a grand piano, the only instrument now in the church. The organ was sold to the United Methodist Church in Sudbury, Mass. and installed in their Davidson Chapel in August by an unknown party. It is not known if the wood case enclosure and grill was original, or added for the Colby College installation, or for Kearsarge. The specification was a standard Schlicker stock model. -Scot Huntington

2024-12-07 - This instrument was moved (without changes) in 2024 to Sudbury Methodist Church (Davidson Chapel) in Sudbury, MA. -Andrew Scanlon
