2025-05-01 - This entry represents the installation of a new organ. Identified through online information from Mark A. Smith (May 1, 2025). -Jim Stettner

2025-05-01 - The organ was removed from the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 52 Hamilton St, Geneva NY in 1987 when the building was converted into apartments. In point of fact, the building was originally a substantial residence. From the Christian Science Sentinel of February 16, 1929: "Geneva, New York (First Church).—Although no definite date has been set for the completion of the remodeling of the Gates residence at 52 Hamilton Street as the permanent home of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Geneva, the first services will probably be held there early this spring. While the changes being made in the structure have changed the exterior but little, the interior has been extensively altered. All the ceilings and partitions have been removed, and the entire building has been converted into a spacious auditorium with a balcony. A high, vaulted ceiling has been placed well above the balcony.—Daily Times." The organ had been installed in what was a second floor bedroom (with 8' ceiling) speaking into this "spacious auditorium" from behind the reader's platform. -Mark A. Smith

2025-05-02 - Updated through online information from Mark A. Smith (May 1, 2025): The position of the console was on the main floor to the right of the reader's platform. -Jim Stettner
