Notes

2025-05-20 - From "The Evening Journal" (St. Catharines, November 29, 1873): "We understand that it is the intention of the Wesleyan Methodists of this town to have a new organ placed in the handsome and commodious place of worship on St. Paul Street, in short time, to replace the present instrument. The new organ has been ordered from the manufactory of Mr. Warren, of Montreal, and is now in process of construction. It is to be a pipe organ, of eight full stops, and will be finished by February next. The organ now used in the St. Paul Street Church will be transferred to the church on Welland Avenue. We are glad to observe the progressive spirit of this congregation." The organ was destroyed by fire on January 10, 1876 and was replaced by a new S. R. Warren organ. -Andrew Henderson
