2021-10-25 - "The instrument cost $35,000 and the player unit $17,000. The relatively high cost of the player may be justified by the complexity of the equipment involved. The 101 rolls in the MATC roll library play with all the virtuosity of the finest concert organists of the twenties... The three main divisions are placed above the proscenium arch. A five-rank Echo division speaks from behind a grille in the rear of the second balcony. There is also a three-rank Stage division, to support performers on the stage. The organ is powered by a 71/z Spencer Orgoblo in the attic of the auditorium." "Except for the Tuba Mirabilis 8' and the French Horn 8', which are on 12" wind pressure, the Great and Swell divisions are on 7½". The Great, Echo and Stage divisions are on 5"; the Pedal division is on 6" except for the reed, which is on 10". The Chimney Flute 8' has stopped wood basses; the Nazard 2⅔' is a stopped metal set with some open metal trebles; the Rohr Flöte 8' has stopped wood basses, and the remainder of the set is of metal pipes with bored wooden stoppers. The Flute Celeste 8' is tapered." -- William Hansen, the curator of the organ (1990), via *1990 OHS Handbook* -Paul R. Marchesano

The Echo is installed in a small chamber at the rear of the balcony The Stage is installed in a small swell box above the Player Cabinet House Right. The Swell Orch and Great Orch divisions constitute the Orchestral Division, which couples as a single entity; the combination pistons affect both sets of stopknobs. The Swell Orch knobs are on the left jamb, below the "regular" swell knobs. The Great Orch knobs are on the right jamb, to the right of the "regular" Great knobs.
