Parish Bulletin: Sunday, May 27 [2018], will be the last Sunday our 1870-s Hook and Hastings organ will lead the Trinity congregation in singing hymns, Psalms, and service music as well as providing an instrument for preludes and postludes. Starting Monday morning, May 28, the Trinity organ will be carefully removed and stored in New York state while awaiting installation and re-use by another congregation better suited by its limited resources. A 22 rank organ will replace our 9 rank Hook and Hastings. The new organ will consist of pipes from organs either replaced or abandoned by other congregations, all part of a long tradition of the recycling of pipe organs because pipes can last for centuries. Our Hook and Hastings organ provided us with musical support for probably 10,000 or more worship services, weddings, funerals, and musical programs over nearly 150 years, and will again serve a deserving congregation for another century or more as it did for Trinity Church, Milford. -Database Manager
