Listed in 1877-78 Worcester County Church & Choir directory. Parish founded in Sept 28, 1738, originally First Baptist of Leicester (the 8th Baptist parish in state) and first building dated from before 1747. Village of Greenville named for first pastor of church, Thomas Green (1699-1773) -- As installed, this was most likely a G-Compass organ, revised 1947 by JJ Smith, if not sooner. -Database Manager
