2007-07-07 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- Free-standing and encased in the rear gallery in a five-sectional case with 25 pipes arranged: 7-2-7-2-7. The two sections of two pipes each are wooden. Wooden Pedal pipes form sides of case - either 16' Bourdon or 16' Open Diapason. Some non-original stopknobs/labels present. At least some of the metal pipework has been slide-tuned since the original installation. Great Piano and Forte foot trundles, plus Gt. to Ped. Reversible. Organ Clearing House lists it for sale, probably due to church closure. -Database Manager
2020-05-11 - The organ was purchased in 2007 by St. Alexis in Wexford, PA (north hills of Pittsburgh) for $10,000 (and was destined for their large new church) through Organ Clearing House. I was the consultant. The organ was put in storage until the church was built. The 2008 economic crash caused the St. Alexis building to be vastly scaled back and eventually the organ went back to Organ Clearing House and was in storage until 2020. This organ was a *jewel* and in pristing condition for an 1879 organ. When I visited in 2007, the organ had not been played since the parish closed but the organ was fully playable. It had a large and robust sound with 4 reeds- it had been lovingly maintained by Andover Organ Co. for many years. Original condition and unaltered. -Andrew Scanlon
2024-01-12 - After the Organ Clearing House was unable to find a buyer, and against a removal ultimatum from the storage facility, the organ was destroyed in 2020. -Scot Huntington
