2004-10-30 - Dedicated 20 Jun 1869. Cost $10,500. 46 Registers. Pneumatic assist applied to the Great. The Hook opus list dates the organ as 1868; however, the organ, along with the church, was dedicated on Sunday, June 20, 1869. This appears in the first Pilcher ledger on a list of churches and organs destroyed in the 1871 Chicago fire. The building was quite new. Building rebuilt on the same site using some of the fire-scarred walls. Congregation later known as 2nd Unitarian. Building later became the Medinah Temple in 1903 and the Scottish Rite Temple c. 1912. -Database Manager
