2012-03-05 - The contract for the organ was signed in November 1980, and the organ was installed in December of 1983. The instrument was designed and voiced by Fritz Noack, and the pipe shades were carved by James Lohman of Boston. The casework is of solid white oak. Two changes have been made to the organ since its original installation: a foot rest was added where a Swell pedal normally would be located, and the larger facade pipes were reinforced because they were collapsing. Both of these alterations were made by the Lauck Pipe Organ Company. -Database Manager
